2012 SPA Welcomes New Leadership
January - 2012
From: Michael Brandt, Immediate Past-President

Thank you, SPA, for the opportunity to serve on the Board and to be President for two years. Being on the Board in any capacity is a very fulfilling and enjoyable calling. It is wonderful to work with a group of such dedicated professionals who give tirelessly back to the profession of pharmacy in this way.
I have seen many changes in the four years I’ve served on the board. Mostly around SPA’s ability to provide quality CE in a way that best serves the needs of the members. Gone are the days of lavish dinners at exquisite country clubs while paying a speaker travel and honoraria. SPA continues to have the opportunity to provide quality education as we mine the vast knowledge base that is available to us in this region. The challenge to the association and its members is how to provide that within a very tight budget.
From: Heather McNamee, President
Hello All! My name is Heather McNamee. I joined the Spokane Pharmacy Association Board last year and am looking forward to serving as the Board President for 2012. To see the dedication of our pharmacy community come together to provide quality CE opportunities and fostering collaboration efforts to keep up with the continuous changes in health care and pharmacy has been rewarding over the last year and I look forward to seeing that continue to progress into the years to come with the SPA. We will be having our first meeting of the year on January 24 where we will be welcoming back:
